In 2009 Adam Gotch was commissioned by Kennedy Miller Productions to design and build over 100 stunt roll cages for the new Mad Max production Fury Road (due out May 2015).
The cars were specially designed and built to look as post-apocalyptic as possible, very much in the theme of the Mad Max 1 & 2 films from the early 1980’s. This sometimes meant grafting two cars to each other or cutting the top of one car and replacing it with a completely different structure. It was not only the stunt drivers and actors that needed protection, various vehicles featured satellite camera cranes were built onto the sides of the cars and trucks to house camera operators with their equipment.
This meant that each vehicle featured a Roll Over Protection Structure designed and built to order, and AGI excelled with all vehicles and roll cage designs standing up to the vigorous filming and stunt schedules while all actors, stunt men and camera operators were left unscathed after 12 months of filming.
