The Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) is the Drag Racing sanctioning body for Australia. Today ANDRA sanctions Drag Racing events throughout the year at all levels from Top Fuel to Junior Dragsters on everything from temporary regional tracks to international standard facilities in capital cities.
As of July 2013, ANDRA now allow Roll Cage manufacturers to provide a full Chrome Moly – Bolt-in Roll cage kit for vehicles running down to 8.0 seconds down the quarter mile.
Bolt-in Roll cage kits allow the flexibility to remove sections of the ANDRA roll cage such as the front legs, windscreen bar and side intrusion bars whilst keeping the rear section of the cage installed for street use. The car can then be ‘engineered’ and re-registered as a ‘two seater’ for legal road use in most states. The front half of the cage can then be re-fitted once you’re at the track for competition.
